Today was so gloomy. I mean the gloomiest of gloomy days. After yesterdays sun filled day.. it even seemed extra gloomy and dark with all of the rain & dreary clouds. Thankfully I was busy all day so I didn’t really have time to dwell on all of the gloom, but I had a few free minutes this afternoon & as I was in our sunroom looking out on all of the rain I was arranging a few faux plants on a new piece that we have in the room & I realized that I had forgotten to share it with you. Maybe subconsciously I was waiting to style it with real plants & have it “complete” with actual dining chairs around it as it sits next to our breakfast nook, but you know.. living in a fixer upper I sometimes [all the time] have to share the progress of things around here when nothing is complete, but it can still be pretty…
You guys know I’ve always been obsessed with cubbys & pieces with a lot of drawers.. well, here’s a beauty! This is a darling little piece that I picked up for our sunroom from my pal Ali from Mustard Seed Beginnings [HERE]. She is always finding the best pieces & we are blessed to have her in our shop, The Found Cottage. I was sitting there styling some faux plants on it in those lovely cloches that we got from another lovely vendor in our shop, Jordan from HoneyHomb Market [HERE]. Have I told you how blessed we are to be surrounded by such amazing talented people? Anyways the plan for this piece is to have it be the living part of our sunroom… the plant area. I want to put some plants in this lovely drawers… on the top of the cabinet… & have it be a happy little living corner in the room that cheers us up even on the gloomiest of days like today. Part of me was thinking that this piece could fit anywhere in our home, but for now it’s here… & I love it. As soon as we spruce her up, add some real plants, decorate around her a little more.. you guys will be the first to know, but for now here she is in all of her glory.
Soon this piece will be surrounded by some new dining room chairs, a new rug, real happy plants, & a little more styled, but I wanted to introduce you to her today & I hope it makes you feel inspired for spaces in your home & how to use certain pieces of furniture. Thank you guys SO MUCH for stopping by the blog today & everyday to see what we are up to! Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for more behind the scenes. xx
