On the 19th May, the world witnessed the Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Princes Harry. It was undoubtedly the event of the year and although many of the guests looked absolutely breathtaking (Amal Clooney, we’re looking at you!), Meghan stole the show.
Her minimalist, long sleeved Givenchy dress had a flattering bardot neckline, with Meghan’s crisp, clean ensemble topped with an extravagant, glistening jewelled tiara. Meghan’s wedding day makeup was also minimalist and chic for the day. Her freckles peeped through her foundation which flaunted her naturally flawless complexion and her brown eyes were framed with a delicate, smokey eyeshadow look.
The good news for everyone lusting over Meghan’s makeup look, is that it is extremely easy to recreate. Read on to see the products we recommend for stealing Meghan’s big day beauty…
EYES
Meghan’s eyes looked absolutely sparkling throughout the day. They were smoked with a neutral brown eyeshadow on her top eyelid, which was surrounded by fluttering, dainty eyelashes. We would reach for the Too Faced Natural Eyes eyeshadow palette to recreate this gorgeous look, fanning our lashes out with the Benefit They’re Real! Mascara. If like Meghan you want to get that wide-eyed look, leave your bottom lash line free from any eyeshadow to show off the natural length of your lashes.

LIPS
We absolutely adored the beautiful and elegant soft pink of Meghan’s lips. The natural, “your lips but better” shade couldn’t of been more perfectly suited with her skin tone, dress and the rest of the makeup look. During a big day, a lipstick that is as comfortable as it is long wearing is a must. We recommend the bareMinerals Gen Nude radiant lipstick and to make your lipstick last even longer and prevent bleeding, apply a layer of lip liner like the Bobbi Brown Lip Pencil underneath your lipstick.
FACE
We all know that one of Meghan’s favourite foundations is the Armani Luminous Silk, and there’s little surprise that it gives the same sheer but radiant finish as her wedding day complexion. Forget Kim K contouring, Meghan sported a super soft contour which subtly warmed up her complexion and accentuated her bone structure. To mirror Meghan’s glow, use the lightweight and buildable Dior Backstage Contour palette (available summer 2018) and dust across the hollows of your cheeks and gently down the sides of your nose.
