The Butcher’s Daughter West Villiage, NYC
Located in the heart of New York’s West Village neighborhood, this third location of this juice bar, cafe and restaurant brings the outdoors in with a front wall of windows that fold away. The 900 square foot dining room doubles in size during the warmer months with a leafy sidewalk terrace. The design has been featured in several publications and books, including the cover of The New York Guide 001.
The Butcher’s Daughter Venice, CA
The largest of the three locations, this 3200 sq foot space is located right on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Anchored by a 25-foot communal dining counter fashioned out of reclaimed butcher block wood, the design speaks to a “prettier,” feminine take on a old-world masculine butcher shop. This location has been recognized for design excellence and has won multiple awards, including The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in London.
This sprawling 10,000 sq ft double lot property in Venice evokes the best of indoor/outdoor living. The main house—an original bungalow erected in 1910—was recently reinvented by local architect Charles Ward, featuring hand plastered walls, bleached wood floors, plenty of skylights and concrete built ins. The more modern live/work loft erected above the garage delivers a symbolic dialogue of the old and new Venice.
